Dziesmu spēles “Eslingena” mēģinājumi kļūst arvien intensīvāki
Katru nedēļas nogali jau kopš jūlija var Melburnas latviešu nama lielajā vai mazajā zālē dzirdēt skaistas skaņas. Tās ir “Eslingeniešu” mēģinājuma skaņas – gan runātas, gan dziedātas. Aptuveni 40 dziedātāju, aktieru, dejotāju lielais ansamblis katru sestdienu un svētdienu, Ievas Kainas un Ievas Ozoliņas vadībā, satiekas un ar lielu apņēmību, virzās cauri tekstam, mācās dziesmas pa balsīm, izmēģina deju soļus. Ir daudz dziesmu jāapgūst, teksta daudz, tērpus arī jāuzmeistaro katram ansambļa dalībniekam. Viss, lai uzburtu 40. gadu auru – pēckara dīpīšu nometni Eslingenā, kas bija lielākā latviešu bēgļu nometne Vācijā. Every weekend since July sweet sounds have been resounding from the Melbourne Latvian House large or small hall. The sounds come from rehearsals – for both acting and singing. The ensemble of around 40 singers, actors and dancers has been meeting every Saturday and Sunday, led by Ieva Kains and Ieva Ozoliņš, and with a huge amount of determination has been ploughing through the script, practising the songs, rehearsing dance moves. There are many songs in the repertoire to be learnt, the script is rather long, costumes need to be sourced for each actor. All with the aim of conjuring up the 1940s in post-war Germany – Esslingen, which was the largest DP camp in Germany. Come and see what the ensemble is capable of – on 26th December at 1 p.m. and 28th December at 11 a.m.. You won’t be disappointed!
