Gastronomiskais sarīkojums Melburnas latviešu namā: “Ēst kā latvietim”
Latviešu ēstuves Adelaidē “The Latvian Lunchroom” īpašniece Inga Pērkons – Grauze ielūdz uz gastronomisku sarīkojumu/piedzīvojumu vakaru šī gada 5. maijā. Vakars būs īpaši veltīts latviešu kulinārajām tradīcijām.
Būs iespēja iepazīties ar tradicionāliem latviešu ēdieniem, Latvijas gadalaikiem un kā tie ir iespaidojuši latviešu virtuvi. Skanot latviešu tautasdziesmām varēs baudīt pīrāgus, un iecienīto svētku klinģeri. Savukārt no dzērieniem būs iespēja nogaršot dzirkstošo bērza sulu, bezalkaholiskos dzirkstošos ķiršu un sorbeta dzērienus kā arī protams īstu latviešu alu!

Hosted by Inga, the flower-crowned lady from Adelaide’s The Latvian Lunchroom.
An event that promises much more than just a gastronomic experience, Inga from The Latvian Lunchroom will take you on a magical journey through Latvia and immerse you into the traditions of this ancient culture.
Together, you will explore the folk cuisine of Latvia’s seasonal calendar and the influences that have shaped their eastern European diet. You will view a presentation of her recent film-making venture to Latvia, listen to live ancient and traditional Latvian folk music, join in eating an array of traditional savoury foods including their famous bacon-filled yeast bun, the pīrāgs and their celebration cake, the kliņģeris.
Foods will be accompanied by birch champage, Latvian-made beer and non-alcoholic sour cherry or elderflower spritzers. Come and be a part of this unique experience to discover what it means to eat like a Latvian!
