Film about US-Latvian youth anti-Soviet demonstrations to be screened on 3rd December
The documentary film Valiant! Brauciens uz brīvu Latviju will be screened this Saturday, 3rd December at 16.00 at Melbourne Latvian House. The film documents the anti-Soviet demonstrations of Latvian youth in the United States in the 1980s, using unconventional means to draw the attention of the general public in the United States to human rights violations in the USSR. The screening is a fundraising event for the Australian Latvian 59th Arts Festival, scheduled to take place in Melbourne in December 2023.
