Applied Theatre Forum at Latvian House in May
Kopā ar latviešu kopienu Melburnā, Latvijas laikmetīgās mākslas fonds INITIUM sācis darbu pie projekta ar idejas autores Brigitas Strodas un radošās pētnieces Ilgas Vālodzes Ābeles viesošanos Melburnā 8. maijā plkst. 14.00 – vācot liecības par dzīvi Melburnas Latviešu namā 70 gadu garumā un īstenojot kopienas teātra forumu. Līdzdalīties aicināti visi projekta interesenti un potenciālie dalībnieki.
Projekta iecere ir ar iegūto materiālu izveidot divas laikmetīgas teātra izrādes Melburnā – vienu latviešu un otru angļu valodā.

Working with the Latvian community in Melbourne, Latvian contemporary art foundation INITIUM has started work on a project with a visit to Melbourne by initiator of the project Brigita Stroda and creative researcher Ilga Vālodze Ābele. They will be at Melbourne Latvian House on 8th May at 2 p.m. gathering community accounts of 70 years of activities at Melbourne Latvian House and producing a community theatre forum. Anyone interested in the project and would like to be a potential participant is invited to come along.
Making use of these accounts, initiators of the project plan to produce two contemporary theatre performances in Melbourne – one in Latvian and one in English.
