Lūgums atbalstīt lifta iegādi Melburnas Latviešu namam
Melburnas Latviešu nams ir mūsu Melburnas latviešu sabiedrības centrs. Nams pulcina visu latviešu sabiedrību, un Namā notiek sarīkojumi, atceres un viesības visu gada gājuma tautiešiem. Latviešu namā atrodas arī MLB bibliotēka, kafejnīca, telpas latviešu skolām un bērnudārzam.
Lai varētu vēl daudzus gadus pastāvēt un turpināt iesaistīt vēl plašāku sabiedrību, ir svarīgi, ka eksistējošās telpas un iekārtas tiek uzturētas ne tikai labā kārtībā, bet arī tiek uzlabotas. Katrs uzlabojums un nama modernizācija ceļ Nama vērtību un padara Namu ne tikai ērtāk lietojamu, bet ar lielākām priekšrocībām arī varam to piedāvāt izīrēšanai sarīkojumiem un pasākumiem austrāliešu sabiedrībai.
Tādēļ Melburnas Latviešu nama kooperatīva valde ir jau iesākusi plānošanas darbus, lai Melburnas Latviešu namā varētu ierīkot liftu foajē telpā. Ar to mūsu sarīkojumu apmeklētāji varētu ērti un droši nokļūt Lielajā zālē. Lifta ierīkošana veicinātu vēl lielāku ne tikai mūsu sabiedrības senioru līdzdalību Nama sarīkojumos, bet lifts būs ērti izmantojams tiem cilvēkiem, kam fizisku iemeslu dēļ nav iespējams kāpt pa trepēm.
Laipni lūdzam Jūsu organizācijas un Jūsu personīgo atbalstu šim svarīgajam projektam! Ir plānots, ka lifts tiks ierīkots Latviešu namā 2017. gada pirmajā ceturksnī. Projekta izmaksa varētu būt ap $120,000.

Melbourne Latvian House is our Melbourne Latvian community centre. The House is the centre of activity for our community and is the venue for our functions, commemorations and celebrations for Latvians of all ages. Latvian House is the location of our library, cafe, Latvian schools and kindergarten.
In order to continue serving the community for many more years and to be able to serve a wider community it is important for the existing premises and equipment to be maintained and updated. Every improvement and modernisation will increase the value of the House and make it more accessible and this improve prospects of hiring the premises for functions and events for the wider Australian public.
For this reason the Melbourne Latvian House Cooperative Board has started planning for a lift to be built in the foyer of Melbourne Latvian House. This lift will be able to make the Large Hall easier to access by those who attend events here. The lift will not only help the elderly within our community to attend functions but also will provide easy access for those who find it difficult to climb stairs.
We seek your organisation’s and your personal support of this important project! We are planning to erect the lift in the Latvian House in early 2017. The cost of the project would be around $120,000.
