Skaņumājas muzikanti kopā muzicē vairāk nekā piecpadsmit gadus. Grupas spēlētie instrumenti – vijole, Vīnes tipa ermoņikas, mandolīna, pogu cītara un bubyns un spēlētais repertuārs reprezentē 19. gs beigu un 20. gs sākuma populāro mūziku. Ar savu darbību popularizējam dažādus Latvijas teritorijā spēlētos instrumentus un to spēles tradīcijas. On 18th January at 2 p.m. the music group Skaņumājas muzikanti will be performing a concert followed by a Latvian dance afternoon. Please note: the time has been changed to 2 p.m.
Skaņumājas muzikanti have been playing together for 15 years. They play the violin, tremolo harmonica (Vienna type), button zither and bubyns (Latgallian tambourine) and their repertoire consists of music played in Latvia in the late 19th and early 20th century. Their performances popularise various instruments played in the territory of Latvia. The group focuses not only on music and songs but also on folk games and dances which they teach their audience.
